This exciting journey to Iguana falls in the Chagres National Park will keep your adrenaline level at maximum. With the help of our indigenous friends, we will descend the falls from the Iguana creek. Lead by our expert trekking guide, we learn much what this wonderful jungle has to offer prior to reaching the headwater. After a brief a swim, we prepare to descend the first fall. We careful rope in for safety as we start our way to the Chagres River where a dugout canoe will be waiting to take us back the community to change cloths and warm up.
Departure to Chagres National Park by 08:00 am. Board a dugout canoe and transfer to Emberá Community. 45 minute jungle hike to Iguana Falls. Energy Snack provided. (I.e. Granola Bars, apples, GORP)
Our descents depending on terrain conditions are the following:
• 4 meters cascade roped descent
• 30 meters wet rappel or scramble
• 40 meters wet rappel or scramble
• 5 meters waterfall roped descent
NOTES:
• All participants should be good physical conditions to hike 4 a 6 hours in jungle and in water.
• All participants will get wet.
