D’Santos Boutique Hotel offers visitors a stunning refuge that will allow you to enjoy the serenity, comfort and several outdoor activities.
The hotel is located in the Certified Private Wildlife Reserve, Conception of Mary, in Dolores, Carazo. This certification was obtained by MARENA in 2012 by decree 0505012. Through wildlife reforestation, safeguarding the habitat of endemic species, and aquifer protection ensuring water filtration supplies are just some of the many actions that make the hotel be part of environmental conservation. It is considered a small lung that enriches the town.
The first generations of the family in the 1870´s began with the coffee growing, making them pioneers in the area and defenders of the environment since then. This initiative has been awarded with the Dutch certification ‘Utz Kapeh’, which is a global certification program that sets a standard for responsible coffee production.
In the property coffee is processed after careful bean selection with strict quality standards to ensure a delicate flavor and get SANTOS COFFEE. The coffee beans are exported through trading and are sold internationally. Forest crops and some citrus fruits, which are used for consumption internally in the hotel, are also found.
D’Santos Boutique Hotel starts with the main objective to supply and satisfy the accommodation needs that national and foreign tourists, who visit the nature reserve Conception of Mary and the Department of Carazo, deserve.
Is decorated in a colonial style, that gives the touch of an atmosphere of peace, it houses up to 18 people in its totality, its old furniture is restored by local workers. The 8 rooms have their own decoration, each with its private bathrooms, also have breakfast a la carte, wireless internet, cable TV, visits to coffee trails and security 24 hours a day.
D’Santos Hotel Boutique is located between forest, coffee plantation, diversity of wild flowers, birds of paradise, orchids, centennial trees like cedar, chilamate, acetuno, Guanacaste among others. There are 125 species of plants registered among herbs, lianas, shrubs, trees and epiphytes.
The hotel has spacious spaces that can accommodate weddings or groups of executive events that can be held in its large gardens or roofed lounge surrounded by our coffee plantations.
Due to the spaciousness of the place and the spaces, the hotel invites you to different activities, such as relaxing, reading a book, walking on our coffee trails, riding on horseback or simply going out to look for the extraordinary birds that are found on the estate.
